Between October 23-27, 2022 the study visit took place at the University of Montpellier, France, dedicated to ensuring the development and sustainability of open science.
The study visit to the University of Montpellier, France took place within the project "Strengthening research management and open science capacities of HEIs in Moldova and Armenia - MINERVA", reference number: 597912-EPP-1-2018-1-MD-EPPKA2- CBHE-SP, co-financed by the European Commission, within the ERASMUS+ program.
During the study visit, representatives of the host university shared the University of Montpellier's perspective on open science. The following topics were also presented:
- Anne Laurent, Vice-President for Open Science and Research Data presented the Open Science Strategy of the University of Montpellier;
- Jean-Marie Pincemin, head of the international cooperation department informed the participants about the national strategy "Bienvenue en France";
- Kenneth Maussang, associate professor and member of the French National Committee for Open Science presented the concept of citizen sciences & open data;
- Inese Rozensteine and Elea Pippo presented good practices for open science in the experience of implementing the TORCH project.
Also, the MINERVA project partners from Moldova and Armenia had the opportunity to visit the university library, this being an experience that contributed to the consolidation of the accumulated theoretical knowledge.
